Hello friends!
My older daughter is gone up north this summer to work as a camp counselor, and I feel a whole swirl of feelings. I’m happy for her because this is the job that she dreamed of, and I’m sad because I miss her. And there’s a lot of other feelings, too, as our family adjusts to a new dynamic in her absence. In this short video for premium subscribers, I share a helpful metaphor along with one of my favorite activities for kids (and grown-ups!) that can help us to hold challenging feelings with compassion and savor positive feelings—at the same time!
